The increase in the number of patients with diabetes led Pharmacist E. Desirée Ruiz González to start her career as a researcher, focusing on the study of detection and intervention in people at risk of diabetes in community pharmacies in the province of Valencia.  

A scientific work that she combines with the care and management of her community pharmacy, where she applies the latest pharmacological advances to improve counseling and health education with users.
