Ana María Souto Novas has worked as a Nurse for more than a decade, developing a large part of her work in Hospital Emergency Departments. Her theoretical knowledge and practical skills in this area have allowed her to reach the position of Supervisor of this unit at the University Hospital La Paz in Madrid. She also serves as a member of the Disaster Commission of that center.  

At the same time, she holds a Master's Degree in Care Integration and Critical Care Problem Solving in Nursing and several Postgraduate Diplomas, which show her interest in sustaining adequate training. Thanks to this academic will, she has mastered in depth the Emergency Triage of Priorities, according to the Manchester System.
