Internationally renowned urologist, Dr. Alberto Breda stands out for being a pioneer in living donor kidney transplant surgery and for the application of minimally invasive and robotic surgical techniques in both kidney and prostate. He won the Winter Forum Award in Davos as the best European urologist, among countless other awards in his field.

He has held various positions during his extensive professional career in hospitals in Spain, Italy and the United States. Recently, he has stood out for his work as Head of the Department of Urological Oncology and as Head of the Renal Transplant Surgical Team at the Puigvert Foundation in Barcelona.

He was also Associate Professor at the University of California in the United States for 6 years, where he perfected his technique of Minimally Invasive Surgery with Laparoscopy and Robotics, as well as Endoscopic Surgery with flexible instruments and lasers, until returning to Spain and joining the Puigvert Foundation. He has combined this versed work with an important research and informative task, being the author of more than numerous publications in indexed urological journals and book chapters, and thus participating in many conferences, interviews and specialized events.
