The deep mastery of his specialty in Shoulder and Elbow, together with his leadership skills have allowed Dr. Carlos Maia Dias to occupy high responsibility positions in different units in leading hospitals in his field. Likewise, his involvement in this area is at its highest level, being president of the Portuguese Shoulder and Elbow Society. 

His experience and entrepreneurial initiative led him to the creation of Healphant, being medical director and promoter of a company that promotes health communication. His interest in popularization and science has also led him to take part in national and international congresses in his area.
