Carmen Lucía Utrilla Carriazo is a Biochemist and dedicates her professional career to research at the Achucarro Basque Center for Neuroscience. Therefore, throughout her work experience she has delved into the field of Neuroscience. 

Similarly, she has also coordinated learning and social service projects such as Cinema in company to prevent infectious diseases, a festival that aimed to bring information about infectious and sexually transmitted diseases to people at risk of social exclusion. 

Likewise, Doña Carmen Lucía Utrilla Carriazo develops outreach practices through the YouTube channel Ciencia con Carmen, with which she has won the second prize in the IX Science Outreach Contest awarded by the Complutense University of Madrid.
