The great versatility of Dr. Rosa Mayayo Alvira has led her to practice medicine in the Emergency Department of the University Hospital La Paz, one of the leading centers in Spain.  

Mayayo Alvira's broad leadership capacity has allowed her to assume positions of responsibility in this health area and also to be part of research teams, being extensive her scientific contribution through publications in national and international journals.

Thus, in recent years she has focused her research interest in the study of the cost-effectiveness of different options for the diagnosis of hypertension or general and abdominal obesity and the risk of death in black women.
