Every year more and more children and adolescents suffer or die from tumor pathologies, which has made neoplasms one of the main problems for pediatric health. In addition, there are implications for the family and the community, where continuous counseling and assistance is required to deal with this complex situation. Nurses are professionals who are increasingly taking a leading role in the treatment of these diseases. They are in charge of providing the most direct care to pediatric oncology cases, according to medical prescriptions, with a strong involvement in their recovery and psychological support. At the same time, these healthcare professionals are required to keep up to date in a context where technologies and clinical procedures are continually being renewed. For this reason, TECH has designed this Internship Program where nurses can delve into the advanced and complementary techniques that are present today in the care of children and adolescents with cancer. Specifically, they will address the management of hematological tumors and examine alternative therapies and palliative care systems. They will also analyze new digital tools for remote patient monitoring. This update will take place in the form of an intensive on-site internship.
