The distinguished Doctor Miguel Ángel Hevia Suárez accumulates a professional career of more than three decades in the area of Urology. He has been recognized by the Spanish Association of Urology up to three times, becoming President of the Asturian Urological Society and publishing numerous investigations in renal ischemia and reperfusion, renal transplantation and minimally invasive surgery in Urology. 

His healthcare work is linked to the Central Asturian University Hospital, HUCA, where he has held the positions of Head of the Renal Transplant Unit, head of the Living Donor Renal Transplant program and Head of the Urology Unit. In addition, he also carries out academic work as an associate professor in the Department of Urology at the University of Oviedo.
