An expert in the Digestive System, Dr. Gloria Antolín Sánchez has accumulated extensive training and professional activity that has positioned her as General Director of Planning and Healthcare of the Regional Health Management in Castilla y León. In addition, she has been Head of the Digestive-Hepatology Section at the Río Hortega University Hospital, a center with which she won the Best in Class Award for the best Hepatitis C Unit during her tenure. 

She has a degree in Medicine and Surgery, Doctor in Medicine from the University of Valladolid and Extraordinary Degree Award from the institution where she is now Associate Professor of the Digestive System. She completed her Specialization at the Marqués de Valdecilla University Hospital and has been an Accredited Tutor of Specialized Training. Among her other degrees to be highlighted is the Senior Management Program of Health Institutions, as well as the Program of Strategic Management of Clinical Services, not to mention the training stays at the University of Pittsburg, the University of Chicago and the University of Madison, among other international experiences. 

She has numerous communications to national and international congresses and scientific publications. Similarly, over the years she has been a member of the Advisory Committee of AENOR for the Standardization of Liver Transplantation, President of the Castilian-Leonese Society of Hepatology, Member of the Committee of Hepatorenal Transplantation of SACYL and Member of the Spanish Registry of Liver Transplantation of the National Transplant Organization.
