Carla Fons Badal is a dentist with a high level of competence in the field of periodontology and implants who has co-authored several articles published in scientific journals such as, for example, Actitud diagnóstica ante una lesión gingival por abrasión (Diagnostic attitude to a gingival abrasion lesion). 

Her interest in teaching has led her, after obtaining her Doctorate in Dentistry, to take up a teaching position in undergraduate studies.
