The Internship program of this program in Advances in Applied Phytotherapy in Nursing is made up of a practical stay in a prestigious center, 3 weeks of duration, from Monday to Friday, with 8 consecutive hours of practical specialization with an adjunct specialist. This internship will allow graduates to see real patients alongside a team of reference professionals in this field, applying the most innovative natural medicine therapies. 

In this completely practical Internship program, the activities are aimed at developing and perfecting the skills necessary to provide healthcare in areas and conditions that require highly qualified professionals, and are oriented towards specific expertise for practicing the activity, in a safe environment for the patient and with highly professional performance.

• Prepare infusions, decoctions or extracts from medicinal plants
• Monitor the response of individuals to the use of Phytotherapy

Natural Medicine for Neurological Disorders

• Reviewing the medical history of individuals and their pharmacological treatments to avoid adverse interactions between medications and phytotherapeutic preparations
• Recommend the use of herbal medicines  such as valerian, passionflower or lemon balm, for nervous system disorders
• Develop care plans that combine conventional therapies with phytotherapy for the management of conditions such as anxiety, insomnia or stress
• Ensure that patients correctly administer the recommended phytotherapeutic preparations, respecting the dosage and frequency indicated to avoid unwanted effects

Musculoskeletal Phytotherapy

• Provide advice on the use of medicinal plants such as turmeric, ginger or arnica for locomotor system disorders
• Teach patients how to safely prepare herbal infusions, ointments, tinctures or poultices with medicinal plants
