María de los Ángeles Mayo Ossorio is a Specialist in Bariatric and Esophagogastric Surgery, with extensive experience in the surgical management of patients with pathologies related to excessive body weight and its associated comorbidities. She is a professional versed in clinical practice through decades of dedication to this service, during which time she has completed numerous refresher programs and continuing education to achieve the distinction of expert.

As far as her practical experience is concerned, she has worked for numerous clinical centers such as the María de Cádiz Social Institute or the Puerta del Mar University Hospital, where she gained the necessary experience to reach the position of Coordinator of the Bariatric and Esophagogastric Surgery Unit. All this combined with the research for the publication of her thesis Hemodynamic modifications of hepatosplenic vascular flow studied by echo-Doppler in normal pregnant women, for which she obtained the distinction of Outstanding Cum Laude.
