Dr. Maria Asuncion Acosta Merida is a Medical Specialist in General Surgery and Digestive System. As a surgeon, she has worked in health centers such as the Doctor Negrin University Hospital of Gran Canaria, where she has worked as Head of the Esophagogastric, Endocrinometabolic and Obesity Surgery Section. 

In addition, this doctor has been awarded a Scholarship Award  for her stay in Tokyo at the prestigious National Cancer Center for the development of Esophagogastric Oncological Surgery.
