Dr. Deisy Barrios Barreto, Specialist in Pneumology, has a high level of expertise in the early diagnosis of lung cancer and in the treatment of other thoracic tumors. After performing her duties as a Pneumology Specialist at the Ramón y Cajal University Hospital, she has become the Head of the Interventional Pneumology Unit at the same center.  

She has also left her mark on the scientific level, participating as a Collaborating Researcher in various projects of the Venous Thromboembolic Disease Research Group of the Ramón y Cajal Institute. She is also a member of associations such as the European Respiratory Society and the American Thoracic Society.
