Dr. Manuel Pérez Miranda del Castillo is an eminence in the Medical Area of the Digestive System. He is Head of the Digestive System Service at the University Hospital Río Hortega and his areas of interest include interventional endoscopy, encoendoscopy, digestive prostheses and biliopancreatic pathology, among others. Thus, his research for the application of pioneering endoscopic treatments in Spain has established him as a reference.
For this reason, his extensive and prestigious work experience has been rewarded with different prizes such as the Gold Medal awarded by the World Cup of Endoscopy or the Best Doctor Award at the IX Castile and Leon Health Awards held by Redacción Médica. He also combines his practice with teaching and dissemination as a member of the Editorial Board of the journals Endoscopy and Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
