Dr. Mónica del Río Vellosillo has developed her career as a Specialist Physician in the Anesthesia and Resuscitation Service in recent years in reputed hospitals in Valencia, such as the La Fe University Hospital and the Virgen de la Arrixaca Hospital, where she has worked in the Maternal and Infant Ward. 

As an anesthesiologist, he has conducted several studies focused on improving therapy in the field of neuro-ophthalmology, comparing the intradural effectiveness of certain types of anesthetics such as Ropivacaine and Bupivacaine, as well as other lines of research supported by the Spanish Society of Ophthalmology and published in the Spanish Journal of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation. In that sense, he is an active member of the Society for Research in Retina and Vision Sciences, in order to continue expanding his contributions.
