Dr. Gema Fornés Torres actively participated in the start-up of the Transfusion, Tissue and Cell Center of Córdoba in the early 1990s. In this space she developed all the facets assumed by the CTTC, both in terms of blood and marrow donation, as well as in tissue banking. 

Her accumulated experience in this field and her specialization in Hematology and Hemotherapy led her to reach positions of maximum responsibility, being medical director of the center, as well as the Area of Immunohematology.
