Dr. Eider Azkona Uribelarrea has worked intensively in the study of oncology, becoming an expert in cancer management, especially when the affected area refers to the colorectal system. And it is precisely in this area that he focused his thesis, an exhaustive work for which he obtained an outstanding recognition for his more than 5 years of research.  

Thanks to his continuous academic training and his interest in the advancement of Medical Science, he has managed to reach the position of specialist physician at Cruces University Hospital in Bilbao, an activity that he balances with teaching, translational research and health innovation at the Biocruces Bizkaia Institute.
