Dr. Sandra Villagrá Albert is a renowned pediatric cardiologist with more than 17 years of experience in her specialty and training. She has been chosen among the 25 best professionals dedicated to the heart in the list prepared by the newspaper El Español, as Director of the Congenital Heart Unit (UCC) based at the University Hospital HM Montepríncipe and covering the University Hospital of Torrelodones and Puerta del Sur de Móstoles, Clínica Nuevo Belén, the Clinics of San Francisco de Asís, Santa Elena, La Milagrosa, Nuestra Señora del Rosario and La Moncloa. 

She graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the Complutense University of Madrid, and holds a PhD from the Universidad Autonoma of Madrid, with a grade of Outstanding Cum Laude and since then, has focused her interest in congenital heart disease of the fetus, newborn, child, adolescent and adult. 

She combines her work in health care with teaching, being a Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the Universidad CEU San Pablo and the Universidad Autonoma of Madrid, as well as collaborating in exclusive postgraduate programs. She is also a member of the Spanish Society of Pediatrics and the Spanish Society of Pediatric Cardiology and Congenital Heart Disease. She has also developed an important informative activity, being author and co-author of multiple scientific publications on the specialty at national and international level.
