Dr. Mercedes Cueto Serrano has a brilliant professional career of more than 25 years of experience, occupying positions of maximum responsibility in the Health Area of Tenerife. Specialized in Family and Community Medicine, Cueto Serrano assumed the medical direction and management of Primary Care in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, to later become manager, at different stages, of the two main university hospitals on the island.  

Her career has led her to coordinate the Health Emergency Plan of the Canary Islands and to specialize in Health Management and Planning in order to carry out her functions successfully.
