Dr. Paula Jiménez Fonseca is a recognized Medical Specialist in Oncology, work that she has performed for more than 20 years in health centers such as the Central University Hospital of Asturias, in the Digestive and Endocrine Tumors Section.

Doctor in Medicine from the University of Oviedo, Paula Jiménez Fonseca, has carried out important research work, being the Coordinator of relevant studies on Cancer. For example, she has coordinated the TRASGU study of Nomograms and Neuroendocrine Tumors IV in the Spanish Group of Neuroendocrine and Endocrine Tumors, in addition to performing such functions for the Spanish Society of Medical Oncology in studies such as NEOcoping or NEOetic. Likewise, in this last society she has been the president of the AGAMENON Group for research in Gastric Cancer. 

Among her research areas, she has made contributions in radiological response in Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumors treated with sunitinib; as well as in febrile neutropenia, Anxiety and Depression in oncological patients or in the genomic profile of HER2-positive Gastric Cancer. These contributions have been collected in articles published in high impact journals. 

Paula Jiménez Fonseca is also a great communicator, making scientific dissemination of the projects of which she is part in renowned Spanish media such as El Mundo, La Nueva España or Diario Médico.
