After graduating in Pharmacy, María Oreto Escutia Puig directed her professional career towards optometry, obtaining a diploma in this area and a master's degree in the fields of Advanced Optometry and Vision Sciences and Advanced Visual Health Care. 

In fact, she has been the technical director of multiple opticians such as Optica Lucena and Optica Parc, also working in the public health service, as she also performs optometric functions at the La Ribera University Hospital.
