Internship Program in Legal and Forensic Medicine

Judicial decisions would never be complete without a thorough investigation of the facts and their background. When a deceased person is the focus of such scrutiny, the role of the examining physician takes on an indispensable relevance. Aware that this sector is one of the most constant in the search for new trained personnel, TECH Global University presents its Internship Program in Forensic Medicine: a program created within the framework of virtual education to provide students with access to all the specialized knowledge that encompasses the forensic sciences from the medical point of view. Thanatology, sexology, toxicology, pathology, psychiatry, anthropology and criminalistics are some of the topics that will be covered throughout the Internship Program. You need expertise and solid confidence to make an opinion from the forensic point of view, because the slightest mistake can be the differential element between the conviction or acquittal of an individual. Here at our virtual specialization center we rigorously prepare you to meet these challenges that underpin the integrity of the judicial system.

Studying for forensics: Why is it so important?

An article published by the BBC talks about a curious case that occurred during 1997: a woman was murdered in London. Traces of the alleged perpetrator's DNA were found under her fingernails. The suspect? Another woman who had been murdered three weeks before the victim. The mystery was quite the talk of the town at the time until it was discovered that the forensic team performing the autopsy had made a mistake by using instruments that had not been thoroughly disinfected. A similar case occurred during 2007 in Italy: DNA samples pointed to Amanda Knox and her boyfriend as the culprits in the murder and rape of Mederith Kercher. The judge sentenced them to 26 and 25 years in prison, however, in 2011 they had to release the couple when it was discovered that a forensic medical error had been made. In TECH we qualify you with the highest curricular standards to avoid falling into malpractices like these. Hand in hand with a teaching team with extensive experience, we will add to your profile unique skills that will make you stand out in the field and the best thing is that we will do it from the superiority in teaching offered by the virtual method. Come and discover the exciting side of medicine.
