Dr. Alvaro Pedraz Prieto's interest in Cardiovascular Surgery has led him to participate in numerous scientific articles, developing his work on topics such as the repair of functional mitral insufficiency, saphenous vein extraction techniques or surgery in obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.  

His academic career includes a stay in the Cardiovascular Surgery Service of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, which has led him to become a specialist in this field at the Gregorio Marañón and Montepríncipe Hospitals.
