Chemical engineer Maia Montaña has extensive professional experience in the field of petroleum industry, process engineering, heterogeneous catalysis and biomass conversion. Throughout her career she has worked on high quality interdisciplinary research in the fields of energy, chemistry and chemical engineering. 

His career has been marked, in turn, by his passion for teaching and scientific research. In this sense, she obtained her doctorate with honors and is a regular participant in congresses in her specialty. She is also the author of publications in JCR scientific journals and has participated in more than 10 national and international research projects and agreements with R&D development and technical assistance industries.
