Specialized in Urology and Andrology, Dr. Ignacio Castillón Vela has been a pioneer in Laparoscopic Renal Surgery by means of a single port in the Community of Madrid. He is recognized for being the first surgeon to use the Kymerax robotic instrumentation system in Spain and for being a specialist in renal and pancreatic transplants at the National Institute of Transplantation in Los Angeles, in the United States.  

He has extensive experience in the scientific field as a writer of books and various articles and as a speaker at numerous congresses, conferences and clinical seminars. He is also founder of the European School of Urological Laparoscopy.
