Experience

Dr. Beatriz García Cuartero is a Medical Specialist in Pediatrics, as well as in Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes. After an outstanding training and professional career, she has reached the position of Head of the Pediatric Department and Coordinator of the Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes Unit at the Ramón y Cajal University Hospital in Madrid.  

She has numerous publications in books and journals of her specialty at national and international level, has participated in different research projects, both in the clinical field and in basic research and has more than 100 presentations, more than 150 international and national publications and more than 150 communications.

  • Head of the Pediatrics Service and Coordinator of the Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes Unit at the Ramón y Cajal University Hospital.
  • Pediatric Area Specialist at the Severo Ochoa University Hospital.
  • Pediatrician in Primary Care in Area 4 of Madrid. 
  • Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the Alcalá University.
  • Fellowship of the Social Security Research Fund (FISS) at the Steno Diabetes Center Copenhagen and the Hagedorn
  • Research Laboratory. Project: Mechanism of pancreatic beta cell destruction and free radicals in type 1 diabetes mellitus.  
  • PhD from the Autonomous University of Madrid. 
  • Degree in Medicine and Surgery from the Complutense University of Madrid.  
  • Specialist in Pediatrics by MIR accreditation at the Niño Jesús University Children's Hospital.
