Experience
Research, teaching and healthcare work are the words that define the professional career of Dr. José Uberos Fernández. With an accumulated experience of more than 30 years in the field of Pediatrics, he currently works as Head of Section in the Neonatology area of San Cecilio Clinical Hospital in Granada.
In the research area, he has published numerous book chapters and articles in scientific journals. In this sense, his lines of research are based on the oral-dento-facial repercussions of prevalent diseases in children, the pineal gland and melatonin in the pediatric patient or the hemorheological aspects of infant physiology and physiopathology, among others.
In 2006 he received the Professor Antonio Galdo Award from the Pediatric Society of Eastern Andalusia for the article "Analysis of nutritional intake in very underweight infants and its impact on the severity of bronchopulmonary dysplasia and other comorbidities".
He is also evaluator of research projects, co-director of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Symptoms and Signs and editor of the quarterly journal of the Pediatric Society of Eastern Andalusia.
