Juan Luis Santana Rubiño has extensive experience and sporting career. Specifically, he has served as a player in the Division of Honor B for the Marbella Rugby Club and Rugby Club. He has also been part of the Rugby VII team of the University of Malaga and collaborated as coach of the women's teams of different categories in the same institution.  

Another of the athletic passions of this physical trainer is Handball. In relation to this sport, he has been a national player with teams such as Balonmano Innovasur and Balonmano Maracena. He has also coached the women's university team of the University of Granada.
