Dr. Santiago Antonio Juarros Martínez is an Expert in Sleep Medicine and Master's Degree in Diagnosis and Treatment of Sleep Disorders. As a result, he has held important positions in healthcare centers in Spain such as Head of the Respiratory Sleep Disorders Unit and Head of the Smoking Unit at the Hospital Clínico Universitario de Valladolid.
In his career he has focused on positive pressure therapies used in Respiratory Sleep Disorders and studies the characteristics of smokers, after graduating in Pneumology and Occupational Medicine to devote himself fully to this field both from the care activity as well as research and teaching. In addition, he works as a University Professor of undergraduate and postgraduate studies.
His research production is focused, on the one hand, on descriptive work related to the telemonitoring of home positive pressure therapies used in Respiratory Sleep Disorders, and on the other hand, in the study of the characteristics of smokers in different areas: coronavirus infection, smoking by alternative methods to conventional cigarettes, motivation of smokers to certain issues, among other aspects.
