Dr. Alberto Hernandez Fernandez is a Specialist in Spine Surgery for more than 15 years. He has a great interest in the development of minimally invasive surgery, the use of new technologies such as robotic and navigated spine surgery. In addition, he routinely employs surgical microscopy and seeks to judiciously incorporate the latest advances into his surgeries.
Since he began his training at the prestigious Spine Surgery Unit of the Valle de Hebron University Hospital, he has dedicated himself exclusively to the diagnosis and surgery of spinal ailments, such as those derived from problems of degenerative origin (hernias, stenosis, discopathies), spinal deformity (scoliosis, kyphosis, spondylolisthesis), tumor pathology and vertebral fractures.
He has completed the spine surgery training programs of the European Spine Society and the Spanish Spine Society, of which he is also a Professor. In addition, he has endeavored to improve his surgical training by visiting state reference centers and with international stays, including his stay at NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital with Dr. Baron Lonner to train in scoliosis surgery.
