Dr. Alexia Fernández Ruiz has done commendable work in the study of the description of the epidemiological and clinical characteristics and in the evaluation of the prognosis of a cohort of patients diagnosed with malignant neoplasia and HIV infection in Spain. Precisely in this area he focused his thesis, work that has served as an asset of his experience and commitment to the progress of Medicine and to reach the position of FEA in centers of recognized prestige as the Hospital de Barbastro or the Lozano Blesa University Hospital.  

On the other hand, he has also worked in the authorship and co-authorship of several journal articles and collective works related to Cancer and its multiple representations, in its nutritional annex and in the immunodeficiency that it can cause in patients with other associated pathologies.
