This is due, among other reasons, to the fact that the educational programs on the subject are too theoretical and do not focus on the development of specific work skills.

Through this program, the professional will have access to a 3-week intensive on-site stay at a reference center for Medical Expertise and Bodily Injury Assessment The Internship Program will take place from Monday to Friday, in 8-hour consecutive days, giving each specialist the opportunity to become familiar with state-of-the-art technological resources and the most innovative procedures in this field of work.  

At the same time, each specialist will have the opportunity to choose the installation that best suits his or her geographical location. This is possible because TECH has coordinated this clinical practice in international entities, equipped with the best resources and which also have a staff of excellence. Experts from these centers will accompany the specialists during their face-to-face training. At the same time, an assistant tutor will closely supervise each progress, inserting new tasks and enabling the graduate to become excellently acquainted with all the novelties of this sector.

The educational moment consists of a face-to-face and immersive stay in a first class health institution, equipped with the most updated technologies and instruments. At the same time, you will have the advice of leading experts in the field and an accompanying tutor. This last educational figure will be in charge of supervising and promoting learning progress. 

The Internship program will take place from 8-hour days, from Monday to Friday, until completing 3 weeks of duration. Another important advantage of this program is that the physician will be able to choose the hospital facility of his preference, depending on his geographical location. TECH has selected only the best centers, so each graduate will have total guarantees of learning in all of them. 

In this completely practical Internship program, the activities are aimed at developing and perfecting the skills necessary to provide healthcare in areas and conditions that require highly qualified professionals, and are oriented towards specific expertise for practicing the activity, in a safe environment for the patient and with highly professional performance.  

The practical education will be carried out with the active participation of the student performing the activities and procedures of each area of competence (learning to learn and learning to do), with the accompaniment and guidance of teachers and other fellow trainees that facilitate teamwork and multidisciplinary integration as transversal competencies for medical practice (learning to be and learning to relate). 

The procedures described below will form the basis of the practical part of the internship, and their implementation is subject to both the suitability of the patients and the availability of the center and its workload, with the proposed activities being as follows:

Modern techniques for the expert evaluation of bodily injury 

• Determine, by histological and microscopic analysis techniques, the causes of soft tissue injuries
• Compare injuries with objects or instruments that could have caused them, as a traceability exercise
• Combining the study of mechanics and biology to analyze traumatic injuries
• Study the forces and consequences that generate a traumatic event through the analysis of injury kinetics
• Evaluate body injuries and determine the cause of the accident by means of Impact Dynamics Analysis that measures velocity and direction of impacts
• Use technologies such as Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging to measure the extent of lesions in the body

Latest innovations in criminalistics and criminology   

• Analyze surveillance images and videos for clues and to automate repetitive investigative tasks for automobile accidents using Artificial Intelligence
• Examine low-quantity or degraded DNA to obtain results from very small or poorly conditioned samples 
• Identify individuals based on their microbiome using specific techniques to collect this aspect of DNA
• Using neurocriminology to study the biological and neurological causes of delinquency
