Dr. in Biological Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid, María de los Ángeles Rol de Lama is an expert researcher on the influence of sunlight on physiological changes in the human body.
Her lines of research focus on food and human nutrition, Chronobiology and aging. Thus, she directs the Chronobiology Laboratory of the University of Murcia, the Physiology Department of the same university and the management, together with other experts, of the company Kronohealth, a technology-based company or Spin-off, aimed at solving health problems of the circadian system through novel methodologies for the evaluation of biological rhythms.
In addition, she is specialized in Biomedical Translations and was Associate Professor of Physiology at the Universidad Autonoma of Madrid, and then moved to Murcia where she became Associate Professor of Physiology at the University of Murcia. At this university, her research has progressively focused on the more applied part of Chronobiology, specifically on ambulatory circadian monitoring in humans and on developing new devices to improve the health of the circadian system by modifying habits.
