Dr. María del Carmen Álamo de la Gala is a specialist in Medical Oncology and, for several years, has been part of the care team at the Virgen de Macarena University Hospital. She is also a collaborator of the National Reference Unit for Intraocular Tumors.  

Previously, she has received recognition from the Andalusian Society of Medical Oncology for her results in the research of a new antibody added to chemotherapy. She is also one of the authors of the Guide for the Interdisciplinary Approach to Oncological Pain, under the direction of several renowned Spanish Scientific Societies.
