Dr. José Placer Santos is a specialist in Urology who has developed his activity in the field of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia and Renal Transplantation, where he has specialized in the surgical treatment of the disease and in the enucleation of prostatic adenoma by Holmi laser (HoLEP). Author or co-author of dozens of scientific articles published in international indexed journals. He has participated in numerous congresses, programs and conferences as a speaker, lecturer or guest professor.  

He has received the award for the best scientific paper in the Prostate Hyperplasia section at the 29th Congress of the European Association of Urology in Stockholm. In addition, he is the director of the Spanish Urological Association's Certificate in Prostatic Surgery of BPH.
