Dr. Plácido Mayán Conesa is an outstanding Emergency Physician with more than 20 years of experience in the University Hospital Complex of La Coruña. Subsequently, he was appointed Coordinator of the Emergency Department at the Hospital Clínico Universitario de Santiago, a position he combines with his research work, being the author of the Clinical Toxicology sections of different books on Emergency Medicine.   

A specialist in Family and Community Medicine, Plácido Mayán Conesa has also served as a reviewer for the renowned journal Emergencias and has a teaching career in Advanced Life Support. He is also a member of the board of directors of the Spanish Society of Emergency Medicine, which makes him an outstanding professional in his field.
