For several years Dr. Diez Ulloa was linked to sports injuries and was part of the medical staff of the Mutualidad General Deportiva. He is a renowned traumatologist educated at the La Paz Hospital in Madrid and has specialized in spinal pathology, with internships over the years in many foreign hospitals: USA (University of Kansas, Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, Scottisch Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas), Holland (Saint Martens Kliniek in Nijmegen), Germany (Schön Klinik in Hamburg) and United Kingdom (Queen's Medical Center in Nottingham).  

He is currently working at the Santiago University Clinical Hospital, where he is also Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery. He is referenced for working with patients of any age with Fractures, Tumors, Infections, Scoliosis, Degenerative Problems, Hernias, among other conditions of the Spine. His work has been recognized by, among other awards, the Lopez Sanchez Foundation Award, Royal National Academy of Medicine, Institute of Spain.
