Introduction to the Program

Este curso está dividido en dos grandes bloques. Por un lado, el alumno se enfrentará a una de las grandes obras de infraestructura lineal como son los túneles. Así, se analizará la normativa tanto relativa a la construcción como a la explotación, abordando también algunas de las referencias más significativas en el plano internacional. Se tratará en detalle las principales tipologías de túnel, así como sus características más significativas. Por último, este bloque incluye, y esto es ciertamente novedoso, tanto el inventario e inspección de la obra civil del túnel, como los distintos tipos de mantenimiento. Todo abordado desde la experiencia a pie de obra y con el empleo de las últimas tecnologías.
En el otro bloque, se abordan las principales actuaciones sobre el firme como elemento esencial de la carretera al constituir el nexo de unión de la infraestructura con el usuario. Durante dos temas, se tratan detalladamente las técnicas de reciclado, conscientes de la importancia que el cuidado del medio ambiente debe tener siempre en cualquier actividad humana.
El alumno dispondrá de un tema relativo a la auscultación de firmes, de especial relevancia por cuanto es la forma sistematizada de valorar el estado del firme, y que debe servir de base para planificar las actuaciones a realizar, optimizando de esta manera las inversiones y por lo tanto el impacto medioambiental. Se tratan en profundidad las principales operaciones de mantenimiento del firme, como actuaciones encaminadas a alargar la vida útil del mismo.
Por último, este bloque de actuaciones sobre el firme analiza las actuaciones singulares relativas a las zonas urbanas, las vías de alta capacidad o el empleo de geomallas y/o geocompuestos.
