After a long professional career focused on the approach to infectious diseases, Dr. Antonio Ramos Martínez is considered an outstanding expert in this field. His extensive research career has made him Coordinator of research groups, whose work is focused on this area. 

His high level of leadership and team management skills led him to hold the position of maximum responsibility at the University Hospital Puerto de Hierro Majadahonda, where he has spent a large part of his career. Thus, in the worst moments of the pandemic caused by the coronavirus, Ramos Martinez assumed the Coordination of the Clinical Management of the Patient affected by the virus and later the Internal Medicine Section of the same center.  

His dedication to health care goes beyond hospitals, reaching through the numerous scientific publications in high impact journals, his participation in congresses and the teaching of subjects, as a teacher, in Spanish universities.
