Experience

Dr. Juan Vicente Llau Pitarch is the Section Chief of the Anesthesiology and Resuscitation Service at the Clinical Hospital of Valencia, a position he holds after an important career at the La Fe Polytechnic and University Hospital where he began his career as a specialist in the area. 

With an experience of more than 25 years, he has held relevant positions in both clinical care and research, developing a unified Spanish protocol for the management of massive and critical hemorrhage, called "Hemomas" open access and published in collaboration with other experts and with the endorsement of three major scientific societies. 

Being this subject of his special interest, he has dedicated multiple studies related to Hemostasis and Anesthesiology, participating in several recommendations of scientific societies and being editor of at least six books related to thrombosis and Transfunctional Medicine and countless scientific articles published in international and national journals. In addition, he is Associate Editor of the Spanish Journal of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation (REDAR), and member of the Board of Hemostasis and Transfusion Medicine of the European Society of Anesthesiology, among other important European associations.
