In the field of health research, Elvira Cobas Couto has worked extensively in the development of salutogenic nursing practice and the integration of emotional care in the practice of community nurses. This scientific work has earned her several awards such as the Pfizer Health Education Award and the Quirón Award from the Nursing Association of A Coruña.  

At the same time, she has been working in the teaching field for more than 20 years, accumulating experience and general skills on the main innovations of Community Nursing in that period. At the same time, she works as a disseminator and author in the book collection "The Nursing Revolution".
