Dr. Esther Bataller Leiva's professional career is framed between her educational and research activity. Therefore, she has developed numerous tests related to Microbiology based on the search and isolation of Microorganisms of interest for the Food Industry. 

She is also Principal Investigator in the project Isolation and identification of probiotics of vaginal and intestinal origin from different animal species, and in the project of the Ministry of Science and Education on Listeria Monocytogenes. She balances her work as a researcher with that of Associate Professor in several educational institutions.
