Dr. Amaya Hilario Barrio is a specialist in Neuroradiology and has worked tirelessly to know in detail the pathologies that affect the Central Nervous System. To this end, she has developed several lines of research, among which stands out the one that guided her thesis entitled Utility of advanced magnetic resonance sequences in the pre-surgical assessment of glial tumors. 

Likewise, the succession of magnetic susceptibility and perfusion parameters in the pre-surgical grading of gliomas has also been an area of interest to her, which is why she has given lectures and participated in programs related to this topic. She is also a University Professor and combines teaching in several subjects of Health Sciences with clinical activity in the Radiodiagnostic Service of the 12 de Octubre University Hospital.
