Dr. Emilio Monteagudo Montesinos is a Medical Specialist in Pediatrics and develops a remarkable research and service work from the Clinical Area of Children's Diseases at the La Fe University and Polytechnic Hospital in Valencia. There he assumes the responsibility as Head of Service in ordinary and emergency Pediatric Care, based on scientifically supported recommendations. 

Along with this work, he is Vice President of the Valencian Foundation of Pediatrics from where he has managed to promote the development of the specialty, both in its specific areas and pediatric surgery, as well as in its care aspects (preventive, curative and rehabilitative) and research, paying attention to the social and professional aspects of its members.  

Throughout his career, he has developed numerous medical publications focused on the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of Primary Immune Thrombocytopenia. But also two books that serve as a guide for health professionals, Pediatric Guidelines and Fluids and Electrolytes in Pediatrics.
