Dr. Juan Carlos De Agustín Asensio is one of the most prominent members of the Pediatric Surgery community, being the President of both the Spanish Society of Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery and the European Society of Pediatric Endoscopic Surgeons. In addition, he holds the position of Head of Pediatric Surgery at the prestigious Gregorio Marañón General University Hospital, accumulating an extensive clinical career. 

He has published more than 100 scientific articles in important national and international journals, and has participated in more than two hundred conferences and lectures. He has also held the position of President of the Spanish Society of Pediatric Surgery, with his main areas of scientific interest being Gastroesophageal Reflux, Neonatal Surgery and Thoracic Surgery.
