Experience
Since the beginning of her professional career, Dr. Carmen Soto Beauregard has been dedicated to different areas of Surgical and Malformative Pathology of Childhood, developing experimental models in animals. Among these, the Model of Induced Peritonitis in Wistar rats, as well as Esophagogastric Motility in the rat stand out.
She is Head of the Pediatric Surgery Department at the San Carlos Clinical Hospital in Madrid, and is also part of the IdISS research group, which has been conducting research on Pathophysiology and Therapeutics in Models of Acute and Chronic Neonatal Survived Brain Injury for more than a decade. She is also responsible for the Strategic Plan of Pediatric Surgery of the Community of Madrid, becoming Vice President of the National Commission of Pediatric Surgery.
