Dr. Jaime Ruiz-Tovar Polo is a Specialist in Bariatric Surgery accredited as an expert by societies such as SECO and IFSO and is Head of the Neurostimulation Unit for the Treatment of Obesity at Clínica Garcilaso in Madrid.  

As a researcher, he directs and participates in various projects aimed at examining the metabolic, hormonal and biochemical effects of bariatric surgery, as well as delving into intra-abdominal infection and multimodal rehabilitation of this type of surgery. The quality of his research work has allowed him to obtain several prizes and grants, awarded by both public and private institutions.
