Dr. Elvira Valdés has an extensive professional career linked to teaching and psychology. A double aspect that led her to create the School of Families and to implement specific programs for teachers in Venezuela. At the same time, she began her career as a researcher, which has led her to delve into the study of academic self-regulation, parental styles, academic stress, perfectionism, high school-university transition and teaching-learning processes. 

In her extensive professional career, she continues to develop her role as a teacher and collaborates as a consultant in research projects and in the design of E-learning courses.
