With a prolific professional career of more than four deans, Dr. María del Pilar González-Peramato Gutiérrez is considered one of the scientific deans of Anatomic Pathology at national level. Her research, in the laboratory setting, has served to develop emerging and effective methods for the identification of urological tumors.  

She is the author of more than 150 academic articles, published in prestigious international journals. She has also spent most of her professional career in the Anatomic Pathology Department of the Hospital La Paz, where she has held the position of Head of Section of that Department.
